Latitude vs. Max Temperature

Taking into account that 0 degrees latitude represents the equator, we can see that, naturally, the highest maximum temperatures are nearest the equator. As a city's latitude grows further away from the equator, it's maximum temperature is lower. It is also worth noting that the northern hemisphere records much lower max temperatures than the southern hemisphere latitudes that are equally as far away from the equator. This is likely due to seasons and the tilt of the earth at the time the data was acquired.
